If you should have any issues with your order with AmerID…No problem! We're here to help.

Please be prepared to provide us with the following information:

  • Your order number
  • Your company name
  • Your specific issue
Refurbished Items
  Our technicians have thoroughly inspected and tested each refurbished printer and part we sell. In the event your product becomes defective within 90 days of purchase, AmerID Inc. will repair or replace it.

AmerID Inc. will pay for UPS ground shipping charges for the return shipment.

Please note: Our warranty will become null and void if the product is found to be misused, tampered with or abused.
 
New Items

Unopened / Unused Items

If you have purchased an incorrect or unwanted item, you may return it within 30 days of receipt under the following conditions:
  • Product must be unopened, unused and factory sealed.
  • Product returns must include original packaging, boxes, instructions, etc.
  • A 15% restocking fee will be deducted from your account.
  • Software and special order items cannot be returned for any reason. Please contact our ID Specialists with any pre-sale software questions.

Opened Items

We are unable to accept the return of the following opened items:
  • Used printers unless pre-authorized by AmerID.
  • Opened media, including cards, ribbons and/or printer cleaning kits.

Other opened, but unused items may be returnable with a 15% restocking fee; please contact your AmerID Sales Representative with questions

Defective Merchandise (DOA)

If you received a product that is non-functioning or defective out of the packaging, please contact your AmerID Sales Rep to arrange for a return material authorization (RMA). We will do our best to repair/replace the product for you as quickly as possible. To facilitate:
  1. Contact your AmerID sales representative for an RMA number within 30 days of receipt of product.
  2. RMA numbers must be clearly marked on all returned packages and merchandise must be shipped to the following address (unless otherwise authorized by AmerID):

    Please note that items returned to any other address will be subject to an additional shipping fee and/or surcharge. For your security, please use UPS or another insured carrier that offers tracking capability.
  4. Items must be received by AmerID within 20 days of RMA issuance.
  5. All original packaging, instructions, etc., must be returned - unmarked and undamaged.
  6. Product must be ‘like new’ and factory sealed.
  7. AmerID is not responsible for any merchandise that fails to arrive at our facility.
  8. Merchandise that arrives at our facility damaged cannot be accepted and will be returned to you.
  9. Credit will be issued to the original credit card or account holder after inspection by AmerID.
  10. AmerID has the right to amend the return policy guidelines at anytime.
